Wonder is the seed of imagination.
The experience of the church planter in the field is something like that of an early pioneer on America's frontier. Together with the unending promise of new territory is the profound sense that few have journeyed out this far.

Tonight at the church planting conference our team attended, the worship leader of the evening led us into a very different kind of worship experience. Inspired by the example of the worship offered by God's creation, the trees and the stars, we entered into a time of worship in complete silence.
We gathered around the throne of God in silence, offering no words, no thoughts to hide behind, no nervous speech to fill the moments.
I had forgotten how difficult it is to be silent before God--to simply stop talking in the midst of a crowd of people, and hold my silence.
What a blessing to approach our heavenly Father, knowing that we are accepted by Him because of what Jesus did on our behalf. What a blessing to sit, silent, before Him and simply know that He is God.
Silence.
